PIECES OF EARTH
(the natural world on film)

This on-going body of work is an exploration of environmental still life- as opposed to nature photography.  The images highlight the unique beauty of the natural world through an emphasis on the imperfection, inconsistency, and subjectivity of visual memory.  As realism and abstraction tend to intermingle in memory, they do so in these images as well. Certain images will be geotagged, connecting memory and experience to exact locations on the planet.  All images are analog and all abstraction and imperfections created in camera in the moment if not by nature itself.
